As part of the Revive programme it was agreed that a new build community centre would be provided by the public Partners on the first phase of re-development.
Owned by NHCF but run by a local community charity HIYA, the centre on Hillside provides a number of facilities including a shop, health rooms, computer suite, arts and crafts room, games room and 2 multi use rooms.
These are used primarily by HIYA to deliver a range of community and youth projects but other local groups utilise the facilities for their activities as well as local people for private parties.
NHCF has also recently taken an exchange asset on another community building known as the GATE with KMBC. NHCF runs this facility which is used by a number of regular groups ranging from parents and tots to pensioners and knitting groups.
